Projectplace.com provides state-of-the-art security measures to ensure that your data is never compromised. We know that security is crucial to you, which is why security is our top priority. We always use the latest available security technologies and recommendations.

Authentication and encryption

• Encrypted communications. We use the latest encryption technology, including 128-bit SSL encryption and 1024-bit RSA public keys. All data communication to and from a user’s computer is encrypted using SSL, which is the most widely used Internet standard for encrypted communications.
• Password protection. The user registration process and the login procedure are encrypted, which ensures that passwords are never transmitted in clear text. Users' passwords are stored in a one-way encrypted format (using a standardized one-way cipher).
• Automatic logout.  To prevent anyone from gaining access if a computer is left unattended, the system will automatically log users off after a certain time of inactivity.

State-of-the-art facilities

Projectplace.com is provided from a co-location centre operated by Qbranch 365/24, a profitable and fast-growing co-location provider with AAA-rating (Dun & Bradstreet). The co-location facility has 24-hour supervision with personnel on site.

• Fire protection and climate control. The facility has automatic smoke detection systems combined with automatic fire extinguishing systems. A climate control system maintains a constantly low temperature, optimal humidity, and high air pressure.
• Secondary power supply. The co-location facility is equipped with secondary power supply systems and diesel generators to deliver uninterrupted power to the servers.
• Internet connection.  Redundant and high-capacity Internet connections ensure that customers will always have full access to our service. In case of partial or complete communications breakdown, the multiple Internet supplier environment ensures uninterrupted access to the service.

• Multi-layer redundancy. Projectplace.com is built upon the Windows server platform. The multi-layer redundancy server architecture has redundant routers with fail-over configuration, redundant firewalls, load-balanced multi-processor application servers, and a redundant database cluster configuration.
• Firewalls and intrusion detection. The Projectplace server environment and network are protected by redundant firewalls and monitored by Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS). In addition, Projectplace proactively monitors and analyses firewall and system logs.
• Database security and backups. Every document uploaded to Projectplace.com is automatically encrypted with a unique key. In the unlikely event of hardware failure, comprehensive backup procedures ensure service continuity. The database servers are mirrored in real time and back-ups are performed on a daily basis. The encryption of customer data is retained whenever backups are performed..

Internal procedures, audits, and policies

At Projectplace, we are also committed to high standards in terms of internal information security.

• ISO/IEC-17799 framework. We have adopted the international information security standard ISO/IEC-17799, which we base all our security related work on.
• External security audits. We regularly engage external security experts for security audits and reviews. A copy of the certificate issued after the most recent audit can be provided upon request..
