Software as a Service (SaaS)

The traditional method of purchasing software and systems often involves the high cost of a license as well as fees for installation, operation and maintenance. Software as a Service (SaaS) is a wise alternative. It is distinguished by a low (or non-existent) investment and the fact that the cost of development, operation, maintenance, upgrades and support is included in the price. The service is supplied via the Internet and the customer only pays for the time and the proportion of the service that is used.

Projectplace was the first company in Sweden to exploit the benefits of Software as a Service. Today, this business model has spread worldwide, particularly in the field of tools for communication and networking. The benefits include:

  • no hardware, no installation
  • quick and easy to set up
  • no extra costs for maintenance, upgrades or support
  • you pay only for what you actually use
  • low investment means a low economic risk
