Successful projects
Successful projects – How?
Key Findings
- Effective communication is an important, if not the most important, ingredient for project success. Participation, understanding and the ability to adapt the project – all of which require well‐functioning communication ‐ are critical to the end result of the project.
- The use of collaboration tools has increased. Knowledge and understanding of the positive effects of collaboration tools have increased among Project Managers and in other areas of business.
- Collaboration tools improve the quality of projects. The earlier the tools are used, the higher the quality and accuracy of the work.
- Many companies still lack a policy for project collaboration and planning.
- The best results are achieved if the following parts are in place and functioning: a Project Model, project tools and collaboration tools.
- An important contributing reason to the failure of many projects is that only four out of ten companies have a Project Model and barely one in four companies has a Project Office.
