Make it easy!
Managing your projects with Projectplace should be easy. The 13th of December, we will release a bunch of improvements meant to make life a little bit easier for all of you. All in the spirit of Web 2.0.
Web 2.0 has changed the way we use the Internet, and one of the more noticable changes is that services and content now come to you, not the other way around. Users are no longer expected to visit websites just to see if something new has been posted. It’s the users that create content, and the content must always be near the user.
To make the distance to you shorter, we now launch the PowerTab, a nifty gadget that is always easily accessible, you don’t even have to start your browser. The PowerTab started as one of our technichal research projects and then grew into something we use everyday here at Projectplace. Now we hope that you will like it as much as we do. Please send your feedback to us!
Most of us do a lot of work in Microsoft Office. So we thought it would be really nice to have direct access to your project document folders from Word, Excel and Powerpoint. This is how easy it is to use the PowerTab and upload files to the project.
And finally we have a user idea forum! We know that you have lots of great ideas and now we can work with them together. You post your ideas, others comment and vote. After all, the development of Projectplace should not be entirely up to us!
Last but not least… Projectplace celebrates its 10 year anniversary this year, a respectable age for a web service. But with age comes not only wisdom… some parts of the service really needed some modernisation. This is something that has taken a lot of our time this autumn. We have made lots of updates and tidying up, to make the interaction better looking and more consistent.
We are currently working with new, exciting design projects and hope to see your ideas lining up to be relased next year!
