The right people, doing the right things

Putting a project team together is not a small task. Finding the right people, with the right qualifications for the project at hand, and giving them the tools they need to work together in a fun and productive way. Projectplace certainly makes this last part much easier: With Projectplace’s member management, administrating your resources doesn’t have to be tricky, and your team will have access to top-notch tools for project collaboration.

"Without Projectplace, I don't know how we could collaborate as efficiently as we do now."
Peter Broumels, KPN

Access control – safe and easy

Managing who sees what content can be important from different perspectives. Setting access rights can be a security issue for sensitive project material, but it is also a question of avoiding information overload and making everyone’s work easier. Using Projectplace’s member management, you can make sure that the right team members and contacts have access to the right tools and document folders.

Access rights are set on a group level. Putting project members in different groups also has other benefits, such as more efficient project communication: send free text messages or emails to several people at once, refer to whole groups in conversations and book group meetings in the project calendar.

Invite and cooperate efficiently

To invite new members, all you need is their email address. It is also possible to import and export contacts from other directories, like Outlook. You can also add contacts who are not project members, such as suppliers, clients, subcontractors and others you’d like your team to be able to interact with easily.

You and your team can choose from a variety of communication channels, like email and free text messaging. In addition, features throughout Projectplace are filled with effective communication tools for business communication.

To keep non project members in the loop, you can provide these contacts with a link to a special external project site which is viewable without the need for a Projectplace user account.

Manage your team members

Projectplace provides you with a lot of useful information about your team members and contacts.

  • Members can specify their project role, to let everyone know their position in the specific project.
  • If you want to check who has administrator rights for your project, look in the system role column.
  • If you want an overview of who’s in-house and who’s from a different firm, check the column for organisation.
  • Get useful information – like phone numbers, addresses, access rights and group memberships – by clicking on a project member’s name.
  • You can also easily see when a user last logged in to your project.
